Who can be in it
You own The X Algorithm on this site, you are 18 or older, and this is your own account. One person, one account, one link.
Being in Boost does not make you an employee, a partner, or a representative of this book or its author. You speak for yourself.
What you earn
You earn $1 a sale for every copy of the book somebody buys on this site, at The X Algorithm, through your link. It is a flat amount: the same whether they paid full price or used a discount.
Renewals do not pay. Buying through your own link does not pay.
Apple Books sales do not pay, and why
This is the one thing to understand before you post anything. A commission is only ever paid on a sale made here, on this website. If the person you sent buys the book on Apple Books instead, you are paid nothing for it, no matter how clearly they came from your link.
It is not a rule we chose. Apple does not tell a publisher where a buyer came from: no referrer, no campaign tag, nothing in any report Apple provides. There is no way to know which Apple buyer was yours, so there is no honest way to pay for it. Anybody promising otherwise is guessing with your money.
So send people to your own link, which lands them here. Your page shows how many you sent on to Apple anyway, marked as unpaid, so you can see your whole effect even where it cannot be paid.
The site version is also the better thing to send them to: the online reader, six highlight colours, notes, bookmarks that survive each monthly drop, an EPUB made for them, the post lab, and an account that carries all of it. Apple Books gets the same words in the Books app and nothing else. You are not talking people into the worse copy to get paid; the paid one is the fuller one.
How a sale is counted as yours
Opening your link puts your code in that browser for 30 days. If that browser buys the book inside that time, the sale is yours. If the person opens somebody else's link after yours, the later one counts, which is how every program of this kind works.
The same browser, the same day, on the same link counts as one click no matter how many times it is refreshed. A click on a different device is a different browser, so a person who clicks on a phone and buys on a laptop may not count.
When you get paid
A commission is held for 21 days from the sale, because a book can be refunded inside that window. When the hold passes with the sale still good, the commission is approved.
Approved money is sent once your total passes $25. Payouts go out by hand, about once a month, by the method you chose on your own page. You can change that method whenever you like.
If the buyer is refunded, that commission is cancelled. If it had already been paid, it is taken off the next payout.
What is not allowed
Say plainly, in the post itself, that you get paid if somebody buys. Not in your profile, not in a link, not in a later reply, in the post that carries the link. This is what the FTC asks for in the United States, it is what an honest reader deserves, and it is the rule people lose their accounts over: platforms lock accounts that post paid links without saying so. A locked account earns nothing. Posting a link without the disclosure ends this account and cancels unpaid commissions.
No buying through your own link, and no arranging for somebody else to buy through it and paying them back.
No paid search on the book's name, the site's name, or the author's name, and no bidding on them in any ad platform.
No spam: no unsolicited DMs, no bulk email to people who did not ask, no reply-spamming strangers, and nothing posted where the rules of that place forbid it.
No promising what the book cannot do. It does not guarantee reach, followers, income, or admission to any X program, and it is not made, endorsed, or reviewed by X Corp. Do not say or suggest otherwise.
No pretending to be the author, the book, or this site: no lookalike accounts, no fake reviews, no coupon or discount claims that do not exist.
Breaking any of this ends the account and cancels unpaid commissions.
Tax
You are paid as an independent person, not an employee, and your taxes are yours to handle.
If you are paid more than $600 in one calendar year, US tax rules ask for a signed W-9 before further payouts, and a 1099 is issued in January. That form is handled by email, on paper. Your Social Security number is never asked for on this website and there is nowhere on it to type one.
What each side can see
You see clicks, sales, and what you earned. You never see a buyer's name, email, or anything else about them, ever.
We keep what you gave us: your name, your account email, how you want to be paid, and your mailing address. It is used to pay you and for tax records, and it is not sold or handed to anybody else.
Changing it, or ending it
Boost can be changed or closed at any time, and this page is where the change is posted. A change to what a sale pays only affects sales after the change.
You can leave whenever you like. Either way, commissions already approved are still paid.
